“YouTube has no ethics, it's been created for the sole purpose of entertainment and money.” Do you agree?
YouTube is an online service where anyone can watch random videos for free without downloading or even registering. The word ''ethics'' suggest that it is a set of principles concerning right and wrong an how people should behave. The statements implies that it has only been created to entertain people and earn money.I agree that YouTube has been created for the sole purpose of enterainment and money.
There are no restrictions of the videos we watch in Youtube. It violates copyright laws and privacy rights.Due to videos which mock celebrities and dangerous stunts pulled off by teenagers, teenagers who watch these are negatively influenced. There are cases of teenage boys in America who perform dangerous stunts, like jumping from a car, just to upload them on Youtube and gain popularity. For such adolescants, they are willing to risk their life just for the sake of people all over the world watching them.
Another example showing why YouTube has no ethics would be the recent event where an offensive video of the Thai's King was aired and the website was banned in Thailand apparantly after YouTube's owner Google declined to remove it.This was from BBC news published on 4th April 2007.Doesn't this show that YouTube would rather earn money than respect the country's beliefs?
